Had one of our apple trees die so I took it down and am trying to get some small 8” wide slabs from it.
The off-cuts seemed to look cool so I gave a go at making a set of kitchen utensils out of them.
My wife is pretty happy with them and my family is interested in some. Took under 3 hrs each with hand tools.
The middle scrapper is from stump wood.
I wet sanded them with 320 and finished with mineral oil but the next ones I’ll use thinned tung oil.
