I no longer have a source for blade sharpening over here in Kitsap. Is there a place I can send my TS blades in the greater Seattle area?
Thanks.
Rockler at Northgate in Seattle has a pretty good blade sharpening service. Takes about a week.
So, after a little investigating, here’s what I found out: Both Eastside & Superior (they’re the ones I’ve worked with in the past & are excellent) have drivers who pick up blades all over Kitsap.
Eastside driver will meet me anywhere, anytime and take my blades.
Superior has a weekly pickup schedule at various cabinet shops & businesses around the area.
So, I will drop them off at a friend’s business and Superior will pick them up there.
I hope this helps others with the same need.
The last time I had a batch of blades that needed sharpening, I ended up sending them to Burns Tools in RI. Long way away but I figured shipping is shipping. They did a good job at a reasonable price. It seems that many local sharpening services charge almost as much as a new blade costs.
