Here are the color options we’re looking at.

Tgey all have one application of the colord stain. The bottom set has 2 coats of spray lacquer. Just above the blocks has 2 coats of shellac. Next up has 2 coats of water poly. The top is just the stain.
Im going to make maple rail and stile door and drawer front with a flat panel. I ordered a figured maple 1/2 in ply from Edensaw. They are making plywood for me!

Shellac is a great sealer either on bare wood or over stain, I follow with clear Poly/ Acrylic,or Lacquer.

choosing a color is tough…
go where a lot of cabs are on display…
look to see which one grabs your happiness…

My plan was 3-5 coats of water poly.

Satin, or Semigloss would be my recommendation, in that order.
