NWWA Online: February 29, 6:30pm

We’ll have our first online meeting of the season on the last day of February. We’ll go over our usual show-and-tell, question-and-answer, and from there migrate to discussing whatever topic comes to mind. As long as it’s about woodworking, it’s fair game for discussion.

I look forward to seeing you all there!

Are there common forums to get plans for projects similar to what you’re trying to tackle? Is it just a google search? Or following other woodworkers?

Personally I would google search, but mostly I look at pictures and then figure out how to make it. I tend to not make things that are complicated, though.

I have to go. Looking forward to next time!

I’ve bought plans from https://thewoodwhispererguild.com/store/projects/ - they’re super detailed plans, but the selection is a little limited

Will Anderson 8:01 PM
Generally when I’m looking for plans, I’ll start by googling for inspiration, and if there’s a good looking plan available I will try starting with that. I often end up customizing in Sketchup though

Julia 8:02 PM
Did it take you long to learn how to use Sketchup?

Will Anderson 8:02 PM
There’s a learning curve. I found a YouTube video that helped me get a hang of the basics. Let me see if I can find it

Will Anderson 8:03 PM

That video made a lot of things click for me

Thanks!! Appreciate the share :slightly_smiling_face:
