We’ll have our first online meeting of the season on the last day of February. We’ll go over our usual show-and-tell, question-and-answer, and from there migrate to discussing whatever topic comes to mind. As long as it’s about woodworking, it’s fair game for discussion.

I have to go, but thank you all for being so welcoming. I’m definitely hoping to come to more meetings and learn more things!

Are there common forums to get plans for projects similar to what you’re trying to tackle? Is it just a google search? Or following other woodworkers?

Personally I would google search, but mostly I look at pictures and then figure out how to make it. I tend to not make things that are complicated, though.

I have to go. Looking forward to next time!

Generally when I’m looking for plans, I’ll start by googling for inspiration, and if there’s a good looking plan available I will try starting with that. I often end up customizing in Sketchup though

There’s a learning curve. I found a YouTube video that helped me get a hang of the basics. Let me see if I can find it
