Found a small Koa slab and book matched it into a serving board. It shows a nice bit of chatoyancy.

What did you use for final finish…
I used semi-gloss lacquer. It is about all I am familiar with and I wanted a bright shiny finish without a plastic look. After I finished this I found some very small checks in the wood, so I had to sand it back down and fill them. Live and learn.
