This is “Inverted pin blue gum eucalyptus.” The wife wants it for a table centerpiece. I will need to seal all the porous parts with something. I can’t use anything that leaves a residue. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Do you want a food-grade non-toxic waterproof sealant?
My opening suggestion is food-grade shellac and mix it with a food-grade alcohol like Everclear… Or Rust-Oleum Zinsser 304H Bulls Eye Clear Shellac..
Spritz bottle for the application… If you have a sprayer (air brush) you’d be golden… Keep in mind your finish will off gas for a while..

Thanks for the reply. Normally I would use an oil and wax base finish but couldn’t because there was no way to wipe it down. I did use the shellac and it worked out well.
