At the April meeting there was a question about Target EM 6000. Here is a project I did using EM 600 over Target’s “water based shellac” Ultra Seal. Here are photos (in reverse order) of the stained (Trans Tint stains) poplar guitar body, after brushing on 12 thin coats of the sealer, and the finished body after about 20 thin coats of EM 6000, level sanding, and buffing. The reason for so many coats of finish was to get enough film thickness to level sand out the brush marks. The sealer brushed out with very few brush marks, the EM 6000 had some brush marks. I used the Target retarder to help the finish flow out as well as possible..
