The intent is to change bearings and replace the chuck = minimize the runout. The drill press is from late 1960’s and it weights appx 250lbs (?)…so it would be foolish to drag this to other places. By the way, it’s currently a perfectly usable drill press.
I’m assuming that I’d need a 1/2-circular wrench to release the chuck ?..as there are no place for wedges ? That alone could be gunked up, so I may have to use fluid to release it.
Anyone who can offer assistance in this operation ?..as I’m not familiar what I should be doing…to follow up towards the end goal. Thanks.
