getting your RT table to fit perfectly…

the cut out…
use a top bearing straight or mortising bit matching the radii of the insert set to depth to cut the lip to hold the insert and your jigsaw to cut out the center…
double stick the uniform thickness pieces scrap to the table’s top…

the adjusting screws actually contact the bottom lip of the rabbet… An embedded metal disk or washer into the lip of the rabbet for the adjusting screw to ride on is a big plus…

the ‘‘look’’ or aesthetics (composition) of how pleasing your project appeals to the eye matters - a lot…
blending the flow of the wood’s grain, rays and points of character is rather easy to do…
