a bit more on the torsion box…
w/ a torsion grid thinner material is all that is needed… ie lath or parting bead…
gang cut the lath/parting bead or dado the face of a wide 1 or 2 by then thin strip rip it into your frame pieces…
match dado cut an edge of the same for the rim pieces to complete the project to your liking…
DON’T FORGET to add blocking if you will be fastening any kind of aprons or hardware to creation… ¾ ply excels for this…

Here are a set of doors done w/ planks…
the joinery are simple splines for the plank to plank and plank to rails connections…
mortise and tenons were used for the rails to stiles and the plank’s ends to the stiles…
the wood is Cyprus, however you can do them in any grain stable wood you like…
the planks are ½" thick and the rails and stiles are 2¼" thick…
the M&T’s are free floating…
needless to say - these are some seriously heavy doors so make sure your RO frame is rock solid… use at least 4 load rated bearing hinges but I think they look best w/ decorative strap or butterfly style hinges…
strap hinges will add strength to the doors…

Sort of rustic looking, are the pictures of the front or back of the doors?

They look basically the same from both sides…
